Glenrich International School organised Olympiads in mathematics and English for pre-primary and primary students on its Satarkul and Uttara campuses on Saturday.

The event, named ‘GlenQuest Olympiads 2024,’ saw participation from 546 students representing Glenrich, Scholastica, Manarat, Mastermind, Academia, Playpen, and other educational institutions.

The Olympiads featured competitions in eight categories – Nursery, KG I, KG II, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, and Grade 5.

Sumona Karim, vice-principal of the junior school at Glenrich International School and a coordinator of the Olympiads, mentioned that such events were rare for pre-primary and primary English medium students in the country.

She emphasised that the Olympiads helped boost students’ confidence and motivate them for future endeavours.

The highest four scorers in each category for mathematics and English were announced as winners during a prize-giving ceremony on the Uttara campus.

Samantha Howlader got the highest score in mathematics and Arnav Saha in English in Nursery category.
