Final Term (2022-23) PTM for Primary Section
Dear Parents /Guardians, The Final Term Report card PTM will be held on Wednesday 17 May ’23 from 9:00 am to 1: 00 pm. Final Term results will be published online (ERP) on 16 May, Tuesday, after 1 pm. An invitation email along with the time slot will be shared with you by the class teachers. Kindly follow the time slot for the smooth conduction of the PTM. You can meet the Class Teachers in the respective Homerooms during the mentioned time. Please note that many of the Class Teachers are also Subject teachers, so parents need to follow the Classroom / Class Teacher list to meet the subject teachers. Please inform your child’s class teacher if you wish to meet any other teacher/grade Coordinator/ Segment Head or the Head of School. When you visit the campus on 17 May, directions and a list of teachers assigned to classrooms will be posted near the School elevators, so that you can easily locate the subject teachers who are assigned to different classrooms. Few changes for the next academic year
Greetings from Glenrich School Dhaka! Hope you had a great Eid. I believe the students are giving their best in their Board Exams too. My heartfelt prayers are with them. I am writing to inform you about some important changes that will be implemented in our school for the board classes. Starting from the next academic year, we are reducing the school timings for board classes. The new timings will be from 8:20 am to 1:50 pm. The decision has been taken after careful consideration and feedback from the parents and students. We believe that this will help students to better manage their time and focus more on self-study and exam preparation. Additionally, regular attendance is critical for academic success and ensures that students do not miss out on important classroom instruction and activities. Therefore, we request your cooperation in ensuring that your child attends school regularly. I would like to inform you that 60% attendance will be mandatory for the students to be eligible to register for the Cambridge Board exam and to participate in any Interschool or other major activities like TEDx and MUN. I would like to assure you that we are committed to providing the best possible education to your child and that these changes are aimed at enhancing their academic performance. Important Pointers for the Board Examination
Dear Students, As you prepare to take on the Board exams, I want to extend my warmest wishes and heartfelt congratulations on making it this far in your academic journey. These exams will be a significant milestone in your life, and I have no doubt that your hard work and dedication will pay off. In the coming days, remember to stay focused, calm, and positive. Believe in yourself and your abilities, and don’t let any fears or doubts hold you back. These exams are not just a test of your academic knowledge, but also a testament to your perseverance, determination, and resilience. I know you’ve put in countless hours of study and preparation, and I am confident that you will do your very best. Remember to take breaks, stay hydrated, and get enough rest to ensure that you are in the best possible shape to perform to your fullest potential. Please go through these important pointers to be followed during exam days- Before you set off: Aim to arrive 30 minutes before the reporting time so that you can relax before it begins. Allow plenty of time for traffic or travel disruption (and always have an alternative travel plan in mind). Things to bring to the exam room: Statement of Entry original Valid International Passport pens and pencils in a CLEAR bag basic calculator (of a type approved by your exam board) any extra equipment needed for your subject. Remember: No mobile phones, or any other electronic devices, are allowed in exam rooms. Don’t bring valuable belongings. When the exam starts: Read the instructions on the front of the question paper (and the separate answer sheet if relevant) Do not open the question papers until the invigilator tells you to do so The invigilator will inform you about the duration of each paper. Make sure that you complete all tasks in the allocated time as you will not be allowed any extra time to transfer your answers The invigilator will inform you if you need to use a pencil or a pen in order to complete your answers in each paper Writing: please write within the grey lines in the spaces provided on the question paper. Use the blank pages to complete your rough work You must not talk, copy, keep or use unauthorised items (such as mobile phones) because you risk being disqualified If you wish to go to the toilet, an invigilator must accompany you for security reasons Please raise your hand. No extra time will be given for a toilet break The invigilator will remind you when you reach the last 10 and 5 minutes before the end of the written papers. Upon completion of the exam: At the end of the test you will be asked to put down your pens or pencils The invigilator will collect all question papers, answer sheets and rough work before you are permitted to leave the exam room. You must remain seated while this happens. After the exams Before leaving the room, make sure that you take with you all your personal belongings Reporting of Incidents If something happens during the exam that may have affected your performance (e.g. if you were ill during the test or if a loud noise affected your Listening test or anything else) you must inform the centre Supervisor / Invigilator immediately. The Bangabandhu Shishu Kishore Mela Art Exhibition
Dear Parents, “The Bangabandhu Shishu Kishore Mela” will organize an art exhibition only for the expat students on Friday, 17 March 2023 to celebrate Bangabandhu’s birth anniversary. Your child is requested to prepare artwork at home on quarter-size paper on the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and submit it to Mr. Nasir HOD Art by Thursday, 16th of March 2023. All participants will be given certificates, gifts and food. The Foreign Minister of Bangladesh and ambassadors of different countries will be in the programme. We are offering a crash course from 13th Monday March 2023, that will focus on the areas where your child needs the most help.
