As part of our ongoing commitment to enriching our students‘ educational experience, we are pleased to announce the introduction of skating classes, as previously communicated. We have carefully considered the feedback received from many of you and have decided to make participation in the skating classes optional. These classes will be seamlessly integrated into the existing Sports period, ensuring that students who opt-in can enjoy the benefits of skating without impacting their regular academic schedule. For those students who choose not to participate, alternative sports activities will be provided during this time. We believe that skating is a valuable skill that can enhance physical coordination, balance, and teamwork among students. However, we also respect the diverse interests of our student body and the importance of choice in their extracurricular activities. Further details regarding the schedule and enrollment process for the skating classes will be shared shortly. As you know, recent floods have severely affected many communities in our country. To support the victims, our school is organizing a relief drive and seeking your help. You can contribute in the following ways: Donations: We are collecting non-perishable food items (biscuits, bottled water), clothing, blankets, hygiene products, sanitary napkins, etc. Other Essentials: Items like candles, torchlights, plastic mats, cattle food, water purification tablets, crop seeds, and medicines. Update on the revised timetable for Primary Dear Parents, Hope you are doing well. We would like to inform you about an important update regarding the school timetable. In our continuous effort to enhance the learning experience for our students, we have decided to implement a revised timetable with reduced class timings for Grades 1 and 2. Additionally, we will be introducing a short break for all grades to ensure our students have ample time to rest and rejuvenate during the school day. The revised timetable will be shared with you by 31 August. Please note that the new schedule will be effective from 1 September onwards. Until then, classes will continue to be conducted following the existing timetable. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we make these adjustments to better support our students’ well-being and academic success. We’re thrilled to welcome students with the opening of our new skating rink! All students are requested to bring their skating equipment (see attachment) to enjoy some fun on the rink. Our new Skating Coach Mr. Tariqul Islam will be training them to create some unforgettable memories at GIS, Uttara.
