Commencement of Glenrich Martial Arts Programme
Dear Parents Glenrich School, Dhaka is pleased to announce the commencement of a Martial Arts Programme. This Programme will be introducing Karate Classes as a part of the After School Programme. Mr Liton, a professional Karate Trainer and the Country Director of the Goju-Kai Association, Bangladesh has been appointed as Chief Instructor for the Karate Classes at School. The Course will be for a duration of 05 months and the cost per month is BDT 1800. Interested students are required to fill out the google form and submit the amount of BDT 9,000 to the Accounts Department by Thursday, 28 July 2022. Classes will begin on Sunday, 31 July 2022 during after-school sports activities. Junior Campus Grades 1 to 4, from 2:10 P.M. – 3:10 P.M. Days: Sundays & Thursdays Venue: Indoor Play Area, Ground Floor, Junior Campus Senior Campus Grades 5 & 6, from 2:10 P.M. – 3:10 P.M. Grades 7 to 10, from 2:45 P.M.- 3:45 P.M. Days: Mondays & Wednesdays Venue: Level 7, Senior Campus Furthermore, please be informed that per month, 8 Classes will be given (2 classes per week). Karate Uniform will be made available to the students on payment of BDT 1600 to the Accounts Department. There will be a Belt Exam after every five months where students will have to pay BDT 1500 for the Belt and the Federation Certificate. Regarding the Fee Payment Schedule
Dear Parents, Many parents informed us that they wanted to know why the fee payment schedule is changed. We would like to inform you that as a standard practice the fee payment terms should start and end during the school working months. This year, the school year started in June 2022 and will end in April 2023. Hence, the fee instalment starts and ends within the session. We do not want to disturb parents to come to school for paying the fee during the summer break. We assure you that there is NO double charging of the fee for any month. It is just that the fee for the whole session is divided into 10 instalments and collected from June to April this session. We request you to kindly cooperate with us. Important Guidelines from the Office of Principal
Dear Parents, You are requested to follow the guidelines mentioned below: Make sure your child attends the classes regularly Drop off and pick up your child on time. If you are using the school bus service, please reach the pickup point on time Please inform the school bus driver in advance if your child is taking leave on any given day. (applicable only if you are using the school transport) Please follow the vehicle entry and exit route plan to reach the school as informed by the school staff Please ensure your child carries the books and the stationery as per the timetable; avoid carrying a heavy bag Children can carry up to Tk 100 in Jr school and Tk 200 in the Senior School for purchasing food from the canteen. If children are found with excess money without proper justification, that will be confiscated. Dear Parents Please be informed that Glenrich AFTER SCHOOL SPORTS PROGRAMME will start on Sunday, 03 July 2022. Kindly fill out this form and submit it if you want your child to participate in this programme. All activities will start on 03 July 2022 except Swimming, which will begin on Sunday, 17 July 2022 (after Eid vacation). Commencement of On-campus Classes and COVID-19 Protocol
Dear Parents As you are aware the daily on-campus classes will resume for grade Nursery on Sunday, 26 June 2022 and grades FS1-Grade 12 on Tuesday, 28 June 2022. The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education ordered the educational institutions that all teachers, students, parents and employees of the educational institutions must wear masks and properly follow other coronavirus rules, such as washing hands and maintaining social distancing. The teachers and administrative personnel have left no stone unturned to prepare the school to welcome our students for on-campus classes in light of the new rise in COVID-19 cases throughout the country. At Glenrich School, all of the necessary safety precautions are in place. The school has established several guidelines for parents and teachers in order to ensure a safe and clean environment for on-campus learning. You are kindly requested to follow the guidelines for a more secure learning environment. General Guidelines: a)Students can bring a healthy snack and a personal water bottle. They should also bring personal hand sanitiser and sanitize their hands frequently. b)All of our staff are vaccinated. We’ve also made sure that all of our eligible national and international students are provided with an opportunity for getting vaccinated under the Govt. vaccination programme. c)Please inform us if any of your family members have any COVID symptoms and do not send your child to the school for the next 14 days. d)We know the students are enthusiastic to meet their friends. Yes, they can meet and greet them. However, they need to follow all the safety protocols while sharing their place. They cannot share their food and other belongings with anyone. Student Actions During On-Campus Classes: a)Wear a mask at all times covering your nose and mouth fully, sanitize your hands frequently and maintain a safe distance. Please carry a pair of additional masks and a personal sanitiser. Be a model to all your friends. Please reach the class in time. Get your temperature checked at the entry gate and sanitize your hands and then directly move to your class as guided by the school staff. b)Occupy the designated seat as instructed by the teacher and maintain a 3 ft distance from your friends sitting next to you at all times. Wearing an ID card is mandatory for students. c)If you are not feeling well, please do not come to the school. If you develop any symptoms: cough, cold, fever, dizziness, etc. inside the school, please inform the teacher immediately and follow his/her instructions to reach the isolation room. Please seek help from the teacher or the school staff for all necessities. d)If you or any family members are found with symptoms of COVID, you cannot attend the school for the next 14 days; you need to consult a qualified doctor to take treatment and submit a negative RT-PCR report to attend the school after 14 days. e)Please wear your school uniform. Please carry the necessary textbooks, notebooks and stationery as per the timetable. Shoes should be black and /or white only. Please follow your teachers’ instructions while attending PE, AMAD and Lab classes. You need to sanitize your hands frequently and maintain a safe distance. f)While you visit a washroom, please wait outside if there are more than 5 students. Avoid crowding. Avoid moving unnecessarily in the corridor. g)While going home after the class, please follow the instructions given by the teachers. Do not rush to the pick-up area and avoid the crowd. Please wait patiently till your parent picks you up. Correctly identify your parent (as they would be wearing a mask) before boarding the vehicle. Parents’ Actions: a)Please discuss all the pointers mentioned in the “Student Actions” in detail with your child and offer support to follow them. b)If your child or any member of the family has any symptoms of COVID, please do not send them to the school. Also, immediately notify the school about it. c)If your child develops any symptoms in the school, we will notify you. Please be ready to pick up your child promptly and offer necessary medical help. d)Please pick up and drop your child off at the school on time. Please do not delay in receiving your child. f)Please help your child to carry a personal water bottle, hand sanitiser, necessary notebooks, textbooks and stationery. g)Please help the school to make the on-campus schooling experience a pleasant one. Dear Parent, This is to inform you that the Official Certificate of your child’s Cambridge Oct Nov 2021 Exam is ready for distribution. Please instruct your child to collect their result from the Board Exam Office of Senior Campus to maintain Covid-19 health safety protocol. The candidate will have to carry the original passport and SoE during collection. The school will hand over the Statement of Results to the candidate or to the parents only. You are also requested to collect your child’s results from school by 5th July 2022. If you are unable to collect the result within the date then you can collect it by making an appointment and collecting it at a later date.
