Important Information for Junior Parents (Part 1 )

Important Information for Junior Parents (Part 1 ) Dear Parent/Guardians, We hope you are doing well, and your child has settled in their new class/grade. We would request your cooperation and support and like to share a few important points for you to follow, so that we can ensure the school system runs smoothly. Junior School Arrival & Dispersal – Students should be dropped off in a timely manner from 7:40am – 8:00 am, so that they can attend the school assembly which starts at 8:05 am sharp.  Please note that we will only allow sibling students to arrive before that time, (not before 7:15 am) who have older siblings in Senior school. Effective from Wednesday, 4th September ’24, late students of both Pre-Primary and Primary will not be allowed into the school after 8:15 am as the classes begin at 8:20 am.  We will allow late student arrivals only in case of a family emergency, prior permission taken due to a valid reason, special weather conditions, or during road blockades. Parents are requested to abide by the school traffic rules and not delay unnecessarily when dropping off their child. Students’ bags should be kept in the back seat, beside the student, so that students can get out of the car quickly and take their bags into school themselves. We can easily avoid the traffic rush outside the school if we cooperate with the school traffic staff and security guards who are there to help you all. To avoid crowds and ensure safety during the morning arrival time, parents/student escorts are not allowed to enter the school premises. Parents who need to purchase any item from the school store or have some work in the accounts or admission department, need to wait till 8:45 am in the parents’ lounge, until all students and teachers arrive and reach their classrooms. Please note that class teachers will check and record students’ uniform, hair cut / hair styles, nails and shoes twice a week and send you updates when required. However, we will consider students without proper uniform till the last week of September, as some of them do not have their uniforms yet. Parents should arrive on time for dispersal (not more than 5 minutes before) to collect their child, unless they have children studying in both campuses. This way, we can avoid unnecessary crowds inside the premises and avoid long waiting period. Parents should collect their child within 20 minutes of their child’s dispersal time as teachers will hand over the remaining students to the admin staff /classroom attendants for late dispersal. Thank you for your support. Warm Regards – Sumona Karim Vice Principal (Junior School) Glenrich International School
