Sports Update: Skating Rink Dear Parents, Greetings! Welcome to the first on-campus class of Glenrich International School (GIS), Uttara. We’re thrilled to welcome students with the opening of our new skating rink! All students are requested to bring their skating equipment (see attachment) to enjoy some fun on the rink. Our new Skating Coach Mr. Tariqul Islam will be training them to create some unforgettable memories at GIS, Uttara. Mr. Tariq is also an experience and key player of Bangladesh National Roller-Skating Team. We look forward to a fantastic year ahead. Urgent for Playgroup 2024-25 Batch Dear Parents/Guardians, Welcome to the new academic session 2024-25! We are set to commence our on-campus classes from Sunday, 18th August 2024, for our Playgroup students. We will soon share the class schedule/routine and dress code on Teams Homeroom classes. We are shortening the class timing for this week for the convenience of our young learners. The class timing is as follows: Morning Shift: Arrival at 9.00 am and Dispersal at 10.30 am Room No: G02 You are requested to hand over the stationery items to the class teachers on 18th August, 24 from 8.30 am to 9.00 am (In the respective classrooms). Day Shift: Arrival at 11.30 am and Dispersal at 1.00 pm Room No: G02 You are requested to hand over the stationery items to the class teachers on 18th August, 24 from 11.00 am to 11.30 am (In the respective classrooms). Note: -Please Send your ward with some snacks, a water bottle and an extra set of clothes. -Parents of Playgroup should drop their children at the East Side Road No. 13-A of the school building entrance. On Campus Classes | Senior School Dear Students and Parents, (Grades 5-12) We welcome you to our new renovated Senior Campus for the session 2024-25! We know that you will be excited to meet your friends and teachers in-person! As the government has allowed the schools to reopen, we will resume our on-campus classes for Grades 7-12 from tomorrow, Sunday, 18th August. Please reach the school by 8:15 a.m. and the school gates close by 8:35 a.m. We will run online classes for the Grades 5-6 on Sunday and their on-campus classes will resume from Monday, 19th August. School timings: Grades 7-10: 8:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Grades 11-12: 8:15 a.m. to 1:55 p.m. Grades 5-6: 8:15 a.m. to 1:55p.m. Classroom Layout: Please check out the location of your new classroom from the layout displayed in the ground floor. We have revamped the school layout. Two classrooms of Grade-11 have been shifted to 7th floor. Math lab and Robotic labs are created adjacent to dining hall on the 4th floor. TT tables are moved to 5th floor (opposite to main-hall) Skating rink is created on the 6th floor Chess tables are moved to 5th floor. ID card and Diary: Your new ID card and school diary can be collected from your class teacher. No Diary will be provided for Grades 11-12 students. Assembly: We will have regular school assembly at 8:20 a.m. on the ground floor. Uniform: As the school uniform is not yet delivered, you are allowed to wear white-polo T shirt with blue/black track pant OR your house polo-T shirt with white shoes. Books: Please carry your books as per the timetable and avoid carrying a heavy bag. We will soon issue your locker keys for storing your books and belongings.
